This update introduces the new Benchmode Recovery protocol for DENSO GEN1 control units. These control units are installed on Lexus, Hino, Scion and Toyota vehicles with gasoline, diesel and hybrid engines.
The OBD protocol has been revised and improved, it allows for virtual reading of the contents of the Flash memory and writing.
The Benchmode recovery protocol allows you to write the contents of the Flash memory via pinout if the ECU is locked or in a recovery state; simply load the file that was read using the OBD protocol. It is no longer necessary to establish a JTAG connection to restore the ECU.
